Kittens! It is officially Choose TKOG’S Adventure Day! Until midnight tonight, I am a slave to your whims, and willing to have any adventure — no matter how banal or outlandish — you suggest here or on twitter. Clean my oven? Serenade a shopkeeper? PUNCH OUT A TRAIN?! Consider it done.
Well, not the last one. I’ve tried before. Trust me.
Make your (inexpensive, non-illegal) suggestions now and read about them tomorrow as part of my last NTKOG of the project! Exciting!
Also, speaking of life recommendations, might I suggest that if you’re in the Brookline area next Sunday, August 29, in the late afternoon/early evening, you drop by to catch a drink with me? This suggestion is made more complicated by my lack of concrete details, but I vow to you I’m working on it.
Basically, though, TKOMom’s going to be in town and we, along with some cool dudes, are going to catch a few drinks and celebrate the end of this project. If you want to come by and say hi, you ought to! Once I deliver proper details. Which I’ll do after I punch out a few trains.

Swing on the swing set in Ringer Park in Allston. (If there still is a swing set and/or a Ringer Park). Would love for you to do that for me because (1) it’s where my now husband and I went on one of our first dates when we were broke college students and (2) tomorrow is my birthday and at least one of us can feel young as this project comes to a close.
Sounds fun! I’m all over it!
Ohhhh ringer park!
Next Sunday, as in today?
Being underage, however, doesn’t help so much in terms of catching a drink…
Also, I need to think more before I can come up with a suitable last NTKOG adventure. Have fun!
Next Sunday as in August 29! Also, I’m talking to two different restaurant/bars, so you can come catch a soda if you want. ;-)
SHIVANI YOU HAVE TO MEET HER FOR ME. since i’m not in boston anymore. punk.
go here: http://maps.lds.org/
find your nearest meetinghouse and go to church. if you can stay for the whole 3-hour block, that would be awesome. i guarantee it’ll give you some amusing stuff to write about, at least.
What if you paid the bus or T-fare for a random person? Costs you less than two bucks and potentially makes someone’s day.
I’ll do that on my way to the MFA!
Sign up for another year.
Ha, done and done! Not another 250, because that would be insane, but there will be at least 50 more NTKOGs in the coming year, I vow to you!
[Comic Book Guy] Best news ever!! [/end]
Ok, that’s a bit hyperbolic, but you keeping this blog going for another year would totally make my week.
Bike to the Arnold Arboretum, find a secluded patch of grass and share a bottle of wine with yourself and Thoreau. Technically illegal, I suppose, but well worth it.
And I’ll definitely be there for Drinks with NTKOG, moving day be damned.
Stop at an animal shelter and play with the dogs or cats that looks like they need attention the most (usually the old guys).
well if I was there I’d give you one of my various animal noses or dinosaur noses to wear around because that is just plain fun. I do it all the time.
If possible to find one and do that then I say do it do it. They usually are pretty damn cheap.
Tell three strangers you like their outfit/hair. Yay for compliments!
Drink a Hot Toddy. I know its summertime but do it anyways. Pick a bar thats really really air conditioned so you’re cold enough to enjoy being warmed up a la hot liquor. Some people hate them, but I say it can cure any sore throat, cold or chill. Cheers!
Take the Mapparium Tour at the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Accessible by T. Cheap.
It’s kind of late, and I don’t have a twitter, but if you happen to read this please have a sweet snack and a cup of tea before bed if you can.
Ooh, absolutely pleased to do so!
Do a 30 second brainstorm on the top 5 moments of the 250 NTKOG moments! No longer than 30 seconds or you will overthink them. Just the first ones that pop into your head.
